About John Merolo
John Merolo is the founder and president of
Island Appraisal Service, Inc.
He began his real estate career in 1980 as a licensed
real estate sales agent and went on to become a real
estate broker, a land developer and builder.
His company has been active in real estate development
and investments in New York, New Jersey and Florida. In
1993, John Merolo started Island Appraisal Service, Inc.
and has performed thousands of appraisals in New York
and New Jersey.
In 2000, John Merolo was appointed to the New York City
Planning Commission and still serves as a Planning
Commissioner today. His vast knowledge of the many
facets of real estate that he brings to Island Appraisal
Service, Inc. has made his company invaluable to its
many clients over the years.
John Merolo was born and raised on Staten Island and is
proud to run Island Appraisal Service, Inc. from its
Staten Island location.
John Merolo is a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser
in New York and New Jersey. He is also a New York State
Real Estate Broker.
